Explore the Meewasin Valley
In the heart of Saskatoon lays the beautiful South Saskatchewan River. Have you ever taken a walk along the river?
The Meewasin Valley is a section of the South Saskatchewan River Valley that consists of conserved cultural and natural resources. This area, centred in Saskatoon, runs about 60 kilometres along the river. There are several conservation areas, canoe launches, interpretive centres (Meewasin Valley Centre, Beaver Creek Conservation Area), the university lands, and over 60 kilometres of trails. The Meewasin Valley is host to many events and activities, in Saskatoon, throughout the year.
This area is managed by the Meewasin Valley Authority, whose focus is on conservation, development, and education.
If you haven't had the opportunity to take in some of the Meewasin, you should get out there and explore!
