Canada Day

July 1st, 1867 marked the enactment of the Constitution Act which united three British colonies into a new country – Canada. Since that date, the “birthday” of Canada is celebrated each July 1st, also known as Canada Day.

Canadians on this day celebrate with events and activities like parades, festivals, fireworks, concerts and citizenship ceremonies. Almost all businesses and schools are closed or, work reduced hours allowing everyone to join in the fun. If you are in Saskatoon, there are many events you can attend with performances and presentations by many groups in our communities.

Happy Canada Day!
